Do you want
to listen to something different from the ordinary? Do you like to listen to an
album that combines many different musical styles? Well, if you do, I might
have here something that will satisfy your kinky musical desires.
“Inside My
Mind Pt. II” as it is obvious from the title is the sophomore album from the
band from Switzerland that has the name BLUT (which I think means blood in
German) and comes two years after the release of their debut album. Both albums
are based on a concept idea about the human state of mind and have to do with
madness and other mental states. Actually both albums are anthologies that spin
around the above mentioned idea and the whole concept really fits the sound of
the band which is quite crazy.
However,
there is a method to the madness of BLUT since their sound is a mix of
different musical styles and genres, but it is solid. The songs that are
included here combine elements of traditional heavy metal along with electro
music and gothic metal elements. The use of male and female vocals gives the
album a dramatic touch.
All in all,
this is a very interesting release, that friends of modern metal will enjoy
because it has variety and of course personality.
